The sources have revealed that Susanne Khan has been booked by Panaji Town Police in the alleged case of cheating to tune of Rs. 1.87 crore. Real estate firm Emgee Properties has accused Khan of falsely projecting herself as an architect to secure a contract with the company.
According the sources, an Entrepreneur and Designer Susanne Khan, ex-wife of Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan had been booked by Panaji police in an alleged cheating case of Rs. 1.87 crore. The real estate firm Emgee Properties has lodged the complaint with the Panaji police in which the complainant has alleged that “The Accused Ms. Khan has projected herself as an architect to secure a contract with the company.
The managing partner of the firm Emgee Properties Mr. Mudhit Gupta in his complaint lodged before the Panaji police stated that “Sussanne Khan had falsely represented herself as an architect and designer by profession. In September 2013, the company executed a written contract with her “for architectural and designing services”.
According to Mr. Gupta., although the accused Ms. Khan had signed a contract with the company but she failed to deliver the project within the stipulated time duration set by the company. Advocate Arun Bras de Sa, representing Emgee Properties, said that as the police were reluctant to file an FIR in the case, they approached the court seeking a direction to the police. But, before the court could issue directions, the police filed the FIR.
In his complaint, Gupta alleged that relying on the representation made by Khan in the contract; the company had disbursed Rs 1.87 crore to her. The complaint stated that when it was found that her work was not up to the expected standards of a professional architect, the company suspected that Khan was not in fact an architect as she had claimed.
According to the sources, when the complainant demanded the details of her registration number with the Council of Architecture, Ms. Khan Avoided to furnish the same on several occasions, suspecting the authenticity of Ms. Khan the complainant approached the council and found out that she was not registered with them. Police sub-inspector Rashmi Bhaidkar has registered the case under Section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code. Despite several attempts made by STOI to contact Khan, she remained unavailable for comment.
If the above allegations come out to be true, it will be really serious offence against the ex-wife of Bollywood celebrity.
