The Russians & Germans are ruling this place with various businesses run by them in the state and not to mention that drugs are one of them…

According to the reports, the Goa police have heavily cracked down on the drug mafia in the state recently, and in one such operation, the raids conducted by the Pernem police managed to recover the drugs worth Rs. 64 lacs from the two German nationals staying in Arambol. The drug is suspected to be an LSD, and it looks like, as the new year celebration is around the corner, drug mafia in the state have become active once again. The sources in the Pernem police have confirmed the arrest of two foreigners, both from Germany and seized the LSD worth Rs. 64 lacs from their possession.

The sources said that acting on the tip-off, the Pernem police headed by PI Sandesh Chodankar and his team conducted the raid at Madhalawada in Arambol and arrested the two German nationals Sergius Viktor Manka (31) and Steinmuller Sebastian (25) – for  carrying with them  narcotic drugs, which are  suspected to be LSD, worth Rs 64 lakh.

Besides the drugs, the police also seized the cash of Rs. 27, 500 and two mobile phones from the possession of the duo. Chodankar said the Germans arrived in Delhi on November 13. Thereafter they reached  Goa on November 23and  first checked in an Anjuna hotel. Later on,  they moved into a guesthouse at Madhalawada-Arambol.

The offense had been registered against both the Germans at Pernem police station under the section of 22(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The sources said that Both the Germans had been living in the same room and had been in possession of narcotic drugs.

The above things make it clear that the North Goa Coastal Belt, especially the ones that are populated with the Russians and Germans has an ongoing business of drugs. Now as the new year approaching, many rave parties and EDM shows will take place and in most of the times, drugs play the major role in all these things. What is your view on this??
