Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s latest flick ‘Fan’ has surely kept everyone wondering how the entire transformation went by. This may be the first time that Bollywood experimented something different than the usual. The makeup artist was specially brought from the Hollywood to bring this transformation into the reality.
According to the sources, ‘Fan’ made the biggest collection of the week by collecting Rs. 52.35 crore in India alone. But here the credit beyond the acting skills of SRK goes to the VFX and prosthetics and the make-up artist wizard Greg Cannom who did the magic of bringing 25-year-old Gaurav to live.
Based on the available information, Ken Metzker, who worked on the final look of the film, felt it was a challenging experience. Metzker, who works as a colourist with Prime Focus Company, found it tough to work on the character of ‘Gaurav’ as the actor’s face was digitally restructured through VFX to make him look younger. Prime Focus began work on ‘Fan’ in November 2014 when 20-30 shots of the film were tested, and the final look of ‘Gaurav’ was locked in. Over 500 hundred hours were spent grading the VFX plates and fine-tuning the colour of the movie which released last Friday.
Here is the video posted by the makers of ‘Fan’ will show you how exactly the SRK’s transformation took place and he become 25-year-old Jabra ‘Fan’ Gaurav. Here are some stills from the video that are sure to leave you in awe!
