This month seems like a full of accidents. During the last week, almost four accidents took place in Goa killing the riders and most if these accidents involved the trucks and two-wheelers. The trucks are turning into the ‘Monster Trucks in the state of Goa with another accident took place at Tilamol in Quepem Taluka killing two ladies on the spot. Read the complete report here.

[su_expand more_text=”READ MORE” less_text=” ” height=”0″ hide_less=”yes” link_style=”button” link_align=”center”] According to the news published by the PTI, Two women were killed on the spot while the two wheelers they were riding, was hit by the speeding iron ore laden truck at Tilamol in quepem Taluka.

According to the police sources, Nayan Desai and her daughter in law Dipa were traveling on the two wheeler and while they reach the Tilamol Junction which is very narrow, their two wheeler was hit by the speeding mining truck which was proceeding in the opposite direction killing both the ladies instantly.

The sources from police also informed that the truck lost control before ramming into the two wheeler on which the deceased ladies were traveling. There was a small child along on the scooter who miraculously escaped the impact with just minor injuries said police.

Immediately after the accident took place the villagers gathered and demanded the action against the speeding truck while the driver fled the scene. Quepem police who arrived at the scene managed to control the crowd that had threatened to block the entire mining transport in a protest.

The bodies of the deceased were sent to GMC for the post mortem and police is in search of the truck driver. The further investigation is in progress.

Now a day’s riding the two-wheeler is becoming dangerous with the number of accidents taking place around in Goa. The government authority needs to deal with the truck and heavy vehicle drivers with the iron hand to stop the further accidents.
