The inspection of Maggi Noodles by the FDA officer VK Pandey was just the foundation of the big game which resulted into the eviction of noodles from the marketplace in India. According the reliable sources the same noodles are being consumed in the other countries such as Singapore. Then why the Maggi was removed from the Indian Market? There is a mixed response on the social network in regards with the eviction of Maggie noodles. People are protesting against the government policy, there is also a rumor of introducing of Make in India noodles in the Indian market by some of the close people of the ruling government.

Goa is facing the ripples of the effects of the ban on Maggi noodles across the country, the Nestle company has asked more than 600 workers in their Bicholim based unit to stop coming to work from the immediate effects. According to the sources the company has asked employees in functions related to delivery, warehousing, storage and marketing have been asked not to come to work. The order was issued on Monday and employees have been asked to stop coming until further notice. The Bicholim unit manufactures Maggi noodles.

In Goa the Nestle has two units having more than 1000 employees comprises of staff workers who are on the contract basis, according to the available information around 600 of them have been asked to leave the job due to the halt in production, although the Usgaon unit has not yet been informed about any such things and the workers are keeping their fingers cross in this matter.

The effect of all India drop in noodle sales have made the Nestle Goa unit to stop the production at its bicholim factory, the company has the huge inventory stranded at the factory with no future. About 9,600 kg of Maggie noodles have been recalled from 709 outlets across Goa from June 6 till June 8 after the company was asked to stop the sale of noodles in shops.

Things do not stop here, as the Nestle India Limited officials started withdrawing the nine variants of Maggi noodles stock from the various outlets in Goa, the officials of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) in the state have begun to collect the samples of the noodles manufactured by the other companies, Director of the state FDA Mr. Salim Veljee informed the media. “Our officials would check other noodles also for safety reasons,” he said. “They have time till Tuesday evening to comply with the government orders to withdraw Maggi,” he further added.

The FDA director also said that his officials would also begin checking the noodles used by street food vendors as also the fast food vendors. “We will ensure that all types of noodles made by various manufacturers which were being used by consumers and food vendors are checked,” he said.

So according to this information not the Maggi noodle alone but all the noodles will come under the surveillance of the FDA and possibly the Noodle will vanish from the Goa market at the end of this operation.
