The time has come to explore and be enthralled by Goa’s natural beauty during the monsoons. The countdown has begun for the exciting Monsoon Trekking Expedition to the hinterlands of Goa which are picturesque, breathtaking, panoramic and offers a experience that rejuvenates one from the regular humdrums of life. The young and young at heart, come along and be a part of this exciting experience as Goa Tourism is organizing the day- long trekking expedition to Budruk Shelop.
Budruk Shelop are small seasonal cascades near Valpoi in Sattari taluka, Goa, which is bursting rich with Goa’s bio-diversity. One can get the pleasure of soaking oneself in Four different Cascades of Budruk Shelop, the last being Sulsule.
The trek will cover a distance of 4 kms through semi forests, slippery rocky terrain, running rivulets and lush greenery. The trek is the second for the season and is a part of the monsoon trekking series to be organized by the GTDC this year till 15th September.
For those who would like to relish a slice of history, a visit to the BRAHMA TEMPLE at BRAHMAKARMALI is on the agenda.
How to participate
The trekking expedition is open to all especially those with a spirit for adventure and nature lovers. Transport arrangements have been made from Santa Monica Jetty, Panjim and GTDC’s Margao Residency (08:15 a.m. departure ). The entire group will thereafter depart for the expedition from Panjim at 9.00 a.m. sharp from the Santa Monica Jetty.
What you need to bring along
Suitable rainwear, comfortable footwear, set of dry clothes, a towel, eco-friendly bag to carry back any waste. No consumption of alcohol or smoking will be permitted. Participants my carry their lunch packets and water bottles.
