Apparently following the granting of anticipatory bail to former Chief Minister Digamber Kamat by the special court in Panaji made the ruling government go into the state of a distress. According to the available information from the media after the order of the bail pronounced by the judge in the open court the BJP core team had an emergency meeting to discuss some important issues. This was followed by the raids organized by the Enforcement Directorate on the residence of Digamber Kamat and four his close relations in Goa. This raises the doubts on the ruling governments functioning in the state.
According to the news published by the various local as well as the national dailies the enforcement directorate started the raids at early morning around 6 am at the residence of Kamat followed by the raids on his offices in Panaji and Margao besides this the ED also raided the residences and offices of the close relatives of Kamat to find evidences against him in Louis Berger case. “We are looking for financial documents and some of the missing files in the case,” said the sources in ED but they ruled out the possibility of any arrest at the moment.
Meanwhile the crime branch of Goa moved to the high court against the order of the special court for challenging the same. Though the task looks bit difficult as the court has granted the bail on technical grounds pointing out that investigation officer do not have enough grounds as why Kamat is required into the custody in matter for which he always remains present before the enquiry officer and Kamat is flight risk kind of personality.

Kamat’s Residence at Margao
Kamat’s office at Margao and Panaji
Office above Vinanti Restaurant in Panaji which belongs to brother in law of Kamat
Residence of his another relatives opp Mums Kitchen and at Campal
Maiden House of Kamat’s Daughter in Law at Altinho
