LEE ANN ROCHA FROM ST. MARY’S SCHOOL MAPUSA DIED IN THE ACCIDENT AT ASSAGAO

This accident is the result of rash and negligent driving as the youth were on their way back home after finishing the party, and the possibility of drunk driving cannot be ruled out, said the sources. Police is also doing the investigation towards that direction.

  1. As Pilkie and Simon Charlesworth have stated, there was NO ALCOHOL involved and NO SPEEDING involved. This was a freak accident where the driver Ethan’s sandal got caught in controls,. They have also stated knowing the parents very well as do I that they are the most loving caring parents and brought their 2 girls up very well disciplined and you couldn’t find 2 better young ladies but still imbeciles are posting they were drunk and speeding and ill disciplined. Please edit these comments very carefully as these trolls do not care who they hurt. Stop just stop posting ignorant comments.

  2. This is a tragedy beyond compare where two young people have lost their lives. But before any judgement is passed or insinuations are made re drunk driving, please find out the correct information first. Tests for alcohol were done on them all and NO alcohol was found in their blood. The boy’s foot got trapped in the pedals and that’s when he lost control of the car. He was NOT driving rashly. Please remember that two families have lost their children in terrible circumstances, have some consideration for their feelings .

  4. There’s always going to be conjecture as to the causes of tragic accidents, particularly when reliable witness evidence is lacking. I have it on the greatest authority that there was no alcohol or other intoxicants in the bloodstreams of any of the victims. With that in mind it would be preferable if people would not cast aspersions as to the behaviour (or driving skill) of the victims of this tragic accident. Oh, and don’t dare criticise anybody’s patenting skills either. I know one of the sets of parents very well, and one couldn’t find more loving and caring parents. For what it’s worth, the driver’s sandal appears to gave become caught between the accelerator and brake pedals, and he accidentally applied the accelerator when descending a wet slope – he vainly tried to brake as visible marks on the road surface show.. They were not kids but young adults with their lives before them. Please show some consideration to the victims’ and survivors’ families and friends before making wild or baseless speculation.

    • You are absolutely wrong. It was NOT drunk driving and the driver was NOT on a “High” as you put it! Let’s not make assumptions just because they were young adults. It was a freak accident and no blame to be assigned to anyone.

  5. My condolences to the families …they must be utterly heart broken …life and future snatched away from 2 beloved souls …
RIP children … God Bless you both ..xx
And prayers for the injured that they make a full recovery ..xx
