According to the press not released by the Team Gen Next Goa Prism News Desk, claims that the BJP government has become the caged parrot in the hands of the casino lords in Goa. “BJP Govt has become a CAGED PARROT in the hands of the casino lobby in the state. Foreign tours, party funding are going on in full swing for the ruling BJP in the state,” says the press note. They also claims that they have found out from the reliable sources that 3 of the land based casinos in the state are operating illegally “We have now learnt from close sources that 3 of the land based casino’s in the state of Goa are operating without 5 star classification license out of which 2 are in South Goa & 1 is in North Goa.”
According to the information provided by the Team Gen Next Casinos are allowed to operate in the state only if they posses 5 star classification license issued by the union Government. This shows the clear nexus between the BJP local leadership and the casino lords which involves the central leadership in the picture.
“We appeal to the swabhimaani citizens of the panjim as well Bhai Bhakts to come out in open against the casino in the city. There is a conspiracy by the Govt to keep the off shore casino in river mandovi itself,” appeals the press note.
The story does not end here the Team Gen Next also alleged that BJP earlier in year 2001 said that the Illegal activities in Casino are raising abortion cases in Panjim. They also alleged that the former CM of Goa and present Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar had claimed in 2011 saying “Increase in number of abortion cases in panjim is due to the rise of illegal activities in Casino’s in the city.” “We would like to know whether it has decreased after BJP has come to power or the bags from casino lobby to the BJP Coffers have played out a magic that abortion don’t happen now,” demanded Team Gen Next.
They further mentioned that “BJP should stop fooling the people of Goa on casino issue as they have become the funding ATM for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in the state. One of the BJP legislator has openly admitted on the floor of the house that they get salaries from the casino’s in Goa. We understand what types of salaries are drawn by BJP legislators from casinos. We understand that MLA’s are paid salaries & perks only from the Goa Legislative Assembly.”
It is for sure that the above claims made by the Team Gen Next does not looks like just the publicity stunt, but it seems to have some substance in it, as all the claims are backed by the proper evidences in the form of information made available by them.
