The art Installation of the “Traditional Fair Stall’s” was inaugurated formally on the 1st of March 2015, by the Hon. MLA of the Fatorda constituency Shri Vijay Sardessai and Mrs. Usha Sardessai at Ancestral Goa, the Big Foot, Loutolim. Also present were ex CM and Hon. MLA of the Margao constituency, Shri Digamber Kamat and Mrs.Asha Kamat. The Installation is one of the many aspects that is part of the re creation of the culture of Goa’s rural trade and architectural evolution as is displayed at the Big Foot.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sardessai praised the efforts at the preservation of the pure ethnicity of the Goan way of Life as is being done by Maendra Alvares, at the Big Foot. He felt this kind of attempt and promotion as displayed at “Ancestral Goa”, would ensure that the kind of visitors Goa got would be of a higher quality and better informed. Mr. Sardessai felt that the effort should have been co shouldered by the government as opposed to Maendra’s single-handed endeavor.
