Goa tourism has decided to support Sunburn this year by unveiling the strategic partnership with world’s largest EDM festival. According to the news published by the PTI, it has been confirmed that Sunburn has announced the strategic partnership with Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) on its 9th-year line-up.

The famous Sunburn festival is entering into its 9th year of the successful journey this year and according to the sources, the organizers have deiced to tie up with Goa Tourism’s corporate body GTDC in a strategic alliance to take the festival to the next level. Based on the new tie-up contract the Sunburn Goa herein will carry the official logo of “Goa Tourism” on all their advertisements including on air, on the ground, online and all the collaterals. Sunburn will also promote Goa Tourism officially across India as well as all over the world through their events. Goa Tourism Development Corp. will obtain the on-ground presence at all Sunburn events in India as well as abroad. This promotion will commence from Goa at ‘Sunburn Goa’ on 27-30 December 2015.

According to the sources in Goa Tourism, Sunburn has put the Goa on the global map due to its popularity in over 50 countries. The existence of Sunburn draws the national as well as international tourist to the state. According to the sources, the Sunburn lead to reposition and leverage the Goa state as the ultimate destination for entertainment as well as business. The increasing popularity of the Sunburn since its inception in the year 2007 has put the state of Goa on the global tourism map as a result of tourist coming from all over the world to attend the most famous EDM festival in the state.

The Sunburn 2015 will be a tribute to the diverse culture, custom, and cuisine of Goa. The fest will offer the guest an opportunity to experience the homegrown cuisine and culture through the unique blend of music, food and fashion. The Sunburn has apparently broken the international sales records and geographical boundaries to unite the music lovers and the above facts have been confirmed by the Viagogo, the official ticketing partner for Sunburn 2015. This growth is considered as 100% compared to the last year.

This year Sunburn will introduce few first-time artists KSHMR, DYRO, FELIX JAEHN, HEADHUNTERZ and SAM FELDT besides its original lineups of popular stars such as DJs Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Kygo, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Aly & Fila and Bassjackers. People from 50 courtiers have booked the tickets across various platforms and multiple ticket sellers across the globe. “This power-packed lineup is an indicator towards the mega build up and preparations for the 10th year anniversary milestone of Sunburn Goa in 2016,” revealed the sources.

The CEO of Sunburn has expressed his gratitude to Goa Tourism for the strategic alliance, “I am delighted to have the Goa Tourism as our strategic partner and my team would like to thank them (GTDC) for acknowledging the contribution of our festival,” he said. According to him, the Indian fans of music do not have to travel to other countries to get the epic experience of the music. While most of the EDM festival takes place in UK and USA Sunburn has established its base in Asia taking it by storm over the past 8 years.

This year lineup of Sunburn will witness the 248 hours of explosive music fiesta both onstage as well as at the after party. The 4-day festival this year will stage around 120 artists who will perform both onstage as well as at the after parties. Sunburn will feature 40 different experience zones this year which will include the Fan Village, Bungee Jumping, Volleyball, Hot Air Balloon rides, Zorbing. This kind of setup will lead to offering the ultimate holiday experience to the visitors this year.

Meanwhile, the email sent by the tourism office to Goa Prism, Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar has rebutted the existence of any threat from any international terrorist organization as claimed by some of the media. He claimed that Goa is the safest place in the world and tourist from across the globe need not worry about the misleading facts spread by some media. “The incidents of terror are taking place elsewhere and Goa is very safe for the tourists and Goa Tourism in association with other agencies is working round the clock to provide the safe environment in the state of Goa,” said Parulekar.
