Goa’s much loved and relished annual Food and Cultural festival is set to enthrall one and all from April 6-10, 2016 at the D. B. Bandodkar Ground, Campal. The Goa Food and Cultural Festival is the State’s largest canvas for food and culture and attract thousands of domestic and international tourists. This year the five day event promises to be sizzling and exciting with a line-up of around 80 stalls serving a blend of cuisines and beverages of Goa, India and international flavours.  Renowned Indian bands will perform live during the five day festival and Goan artists will showcase the best of Goan music and folklore.

[su_expand more_text=”READ MORE” less_text=” ” height=”0″ hide_less=”yes” link_style=”button” link_align=”center”] Live food demos with new 3D cooking techniques, live feni distillation, cooking competitions and scintillating cocktails, fun and games with loads of prizes are some of the major highlights this year.  A mammoth full LED stage will add attraction to the festival décor and the sound and lights will be powered by India’s renowned Sound Engineer, Roger Drego.

Hon’ble Chief Minister, Mr. Laxmikant Parsekar will inaugurate the five day Goa Food and Cultural Festival at 6.00 pm on 6th April at the D. B. Bandodkar Ground, Campal, Panjim amidst much fan-fair and festivity in the distinguished  presence of other dignitaries which includes Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Francis D’Souza, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Mr. Dilip Parulekar, Hon’ble  MLA of Panjim , Mr. Sidharth Kuncalienkar,  Chief Secretary, Mr. R. K. Srivastava and CCP Mayor, Mr. Surendra  Furtado.

The line-up of entertainment on all five days is as follows:

Day 1   (April 6)

Duo performance by Johnny &   Bushka,

Goenchim Noketram – an internationally acclaimed folk dance and singing troupe, Indian Ocean  – Live in concert for contemporary rock, Indian classical, jazz,  folk and fusion

Day 2 (April 7)

Frontline – featuring  Goa’s Punchy and hard hitting band, Dance to the Beats – a nonstop dance musical based  on a real life story performed by Goa’s  leading dance troupe Dance-O-Philia  live performance by 18 artists  on stage,  Rhythm and Blues – Goa’s leading music band featuring  Lulu.

Day 3 (April 8)

Raagas ‘2’ Riches – Goa’s energetic multi genre band, Lagori (live) – Indian classical melodies with rock music.

Day 4 (April 9)

The  Big T  Band by violinist  Selwyn, Bollywood Hip Hop and Dance Fusion performance by Daryl and team Dance –o-Philia, Thermal and  Quarter (TAAQ) – Live in concert.

Day 5 (April 10)

Bad Blood – Live in concert – Goa’s pioneer rock band,  Dance  to the  Beats, One Night  Stand Band – Live in  concert – the best known classic  rock band  from Mumbai.

Goa Tourism and Goa Tourism Development Corporation  are all geared up for  the five  day mega event and  is enthused by the response it is receiving from those involved in the food, culinary and entertainment industry. [/su_expand]
