An attack on the senior citizens continues in Porvorim with one more attack that took place in Porvorim wherein a 78-year-old woman was seriously injured by the duo. It may be recalled that in one of the recent case a caretaker had attacked an 87-year-old lady in Porvorim resulting into her death. According to the available information from the reliable sources, Porvorim police have arrested two persons in the connection with an alleged assault on a 78-year-old woman at her residence in Porvorim. Police have identified the duo as Gautam and Rishikesh Prabhu, both also from Porvorim. They are the nephews of the victim woman, informed the police.
According to the sources in the Porvorim police, the complaint was lodged by the victim lady in the police station claiming that two people with a common intention and without any valid reason entered her residence and attacked on her. They assaulted her with kicks and fist blows and later on threw her on the floor thus causing her grievous injuries.
According to the Porvorim police this incident was reported on the July 5th and the complaint was lodged on July 6th and the victim woman is undergoing a treatment at GMC hospital. The police is investigating the case said the sources.
In the earlier case of Porvorim attack on the elderly lady in which she dies due to severe injuries police had managed to get hold of two accused but the main accused and the caretaker of a lady, Patra is still absconding. This is very serious concern that is posing the danger to all the senior citizens specially the ladies who are staying alone in Porvorim area.
