Developed as an Ecological Rest House since 2005, Tanshikar Spice Farm is situated amidst the rainforests of the Western Ghats. Located at Netravali Village in Sanguem Taluka, it features a 220 years old house and a rest house which is now being visited and utlized by tourists from all around the World. The specialty of this organic farm is the variety of spices grown here within a 40-acre area. Netravali Village is extremely popular adventure site for nature lovers where you can discover the joys of trekking, bird watching and bathing at the waterfalls. This is a wonderful location where you can relax in the company of Mother Nature, or seek adventure sporting as per your tastes.
Tanshikar Spice Plantation is Total Organic & guest can witness how they try to maintain or do natural farming to protect our vanilla crop from bacteria they depend on one type of ant which eat that bacteria, They never use pesticide as according to them the nature has given them everything human being should realize it. Besides that, guests can touch and test different types of spices & guides will explain how to use them in cooking as well as medicinal uses. They also produce natural honey in their plantation in this their main aim is not to produce honey but to help us in increasing farm production because one study says that the produce can increase 10-20% only because of its cross pollination so honey is their bi-product.

The Restaurant at tanshikar is made up of Bamboos and coconut leaves to give a feel of different dining experience. Delicious traditional Goan Veg – Nonveg food is served in Mud Pots. The food is freshly cooked with organic spices grown in their own farm. There have been excellent feed back by our Indian as well as foreign Guests. When guests finish a tour he can enjoy healthy food with farm fresh organic fruits and at the end guests can buy farm grown spices on sale counter.
In Tanshikar Rest House a guest can feel a real silence, bird moving around and their behavior in nature which is health injecting. Tanishkar’s Spice Farm & Ecological Rest House provides an excellent accommodation facility. The Ecological Rest House is equipped with spacious Villas and Tents. Villa Walls, floors, verandahs have been constructed purely in MUD. This gives the Heat Insulation effect. The villas remain cool in summer and warm in winter. All Villas are amidst trees and flowers. Also the Eco Villas are near to the famous Budbud Tali. One more advantage of Mud Villas are the floors of villas which is build in mud is work like causation for human body. When guest sit in the balcony on mud build Sofa, he gets excellent view of our spice plantation. One more unique thing of our villas is we have different variety of plants which works as mosquito repellent.
A day with Tanshikar Spice Farm begins with spice farm tour where owners itself will guide the guest also explain regarding museum which farm itself owns. They also organize tracking in Netravali wildlife century which leads to waterfall, being in Sahydri Forest Range you go through very deep forest and if you want to relax we have easy trails too. With proper booking we also organize adventure sports in the forest.
While moving in plantation with trained guide first guide will show how to climb on straight 40ft betel nut tree & to swing on another & then guest can also try him if he likes to climb. On boundary of our plantation you can visit more than 400years old Bubble Lake where you can see bubbles coming from inside the water & if you clap or make vibration they come more.
