The disaster can strike anytime, and anywhere, but if one remains prepared for it, then the possibility of fatality reduces. Here, in this case, a Pimple tree collapsed on a house at Rivora injuring 5 members of a family, and an 11-year-old boy lost his life in this nature’s strike. The family members have blamed the government for this accident. According to the bereaved family, they had informed about the danger posed by the tree to the concerned authorities, but nothing was done by them, if the tree was felled in time then this incident could have been averted.
The former Minister of Tourism of Goa, Dilip Parulekar, is facing the case of cheating in the Serula Communidade land grabbing, and the North Goa sessions court has held that the former tourism minister had cheated the communidade of Serula and the public at large in the alleged land grabbing case which was filed against him.

The statement of Mr. Manori has come as a shocking surprise to the people of Goa as no one ever tried to say something like this before on this issue. According to VHP central secretary Acharya Manori, there is a ban on beef consumption in the most of the part of the country and soon the similar restrictions will be implemented in Goa. "Like elsewhere in the country, in Goa, too, we are awakening people against the cow slaughter and eating beef. You will have to wait for another one or two years and our Bajrang Dal and Durga Vahini workers will stop cow slaughter in the state," he told the media persons in Vasco.
