The numbers of death cases are increasing day by day. Another dead body found of 21-year-old girl Mamta Sawant. She was a college student and a resident of Gorai area in Borivli. Here’s a story of this young girl who was the daughter of a Police Constable.

Her Parents were worried about her. Shockingly, after searching her at various places, including her relative’s addresses they couldn’t find her anywhere. Finally her parents decided to lodge the missing complaint of Mamta at the Kandivli police station. However, the duty officers verified the details with local police stations before taking down the complaint.
The body of Mamta Sawant (21), daughter of Mumbai Police constable, attached to Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) in South Mumbai, was found near Aksa beach at wee hours of Thursday. Mamta was missing since Wednesday evening , 9th March. She was a second-year BSc student and had left home to go to college on Wednesday.
While her parents were at the police station to file her missing complaint, Malwani cops contacted Aksa police to enquire if they have any missing complaint registered of a girl who matches the description of the dead body. Following to that they sent photo of deceased via WhatsApp which was later identified by the father of deceased)
The investigations have revealed that there were no visible injury marks on the body of Mamta. Police have sent her body for post-mortem and report of and the reports are awaited. Cops are trying to find out if she was accompanied by anybody else to that beach.
According to Kandivli Police, “A case under relevant sections is registered and investigations are underway, after the post-mortem report the exact reason for her death may be ascertained – whether she drowned or she died of alleged poisoning. “On the basis of primary information we have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR). Reason behind this death is still unknown,” said police sources.
Police went through the phone records of Mamta to find out whether she was in touch with anybody before her phone went off on Wednesday. It was also observed by the officials that she had posted the lyrics of a Bollywood song “Bhula dena mujhe, Hai alvida tujhe” as her status on Whatsapp. Police are trying to find out with whom she was last spotted. Officials have also said that, “We are probing whether she had a fight with a friend who may have prompted her to take the drastic step,”
Mamta’s death has shocked her family members. She was brilliant third year B.Sc IT student. According to Police she may have committed suicide. The Post mortem reports are awaited to find out what exactly had happened on Wednesday evening with Mamta and if is a suicide then what made her take this drastic step.
