The elegance and grace of Manushi Chillar, former Miss World and Brand Ambassador for the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), illuminated the stage at the prestigious “Jewels on the Ramp” event during the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) Tritiya in Bangalore.

This glamorous affair saw industry luminaries joining Manushi Chhillar on the runway, adorned in exquisite jewellery pieces that epitomized the magnificence of Indian craftsmanship. From traditional to contemporary designs, the event showcased the rich heritage and innovation of Indian gems and jewellery.

Distinguished participants, including representatives from renowned design houses like Chokshi Vachharaj Makanji & Co, Kaamya Jewels, Dravya Diamonds, Manoj Ornaments, and Laxmi Diamonds, graced the ramp with their presence, adding to the splendor of the evening.

The theme for the next six editions of the IIJS, “Brilliant Bharat,” was unveiled by GJEPC during this event, aiming to celebrate India’s cultural diversity and technological prowess in jewellery craftsmanship.

Manushi Chillar, expressing her pride as GJEPC’s Brand Ambassador, emphasized the council’s commitment to showcasing Indian jewellery craftsmanship on the global stage. She hailed the event as a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the exquisite artistry that defines Indian jewellery.

Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, lauded the convergence of talent and creativity at “Jewels on the Ramp,” highlighting Manushi Chillar’s charisma and elegance as a testament to the event’s grandeur.

The event showcased the latest trends in jewellery, emphasizing the demand for lightweight and versatile pieces that seamlessly blend modernity with tradition. IIJS Tritiya in Bangalore served as a dynamic marketplace, facilitating connections and collaborations among industry players from around the world.

With over 900 exhibitors and 1,900 stalls spanning across 40,000 square meters, IIJS Tritiya emerged as a pivotal platform for the gem and jewellery industry. The event witnessed a significant turnout of pre-registered visitors from various cities in India and abroad, underscoring its global significance.

During the inauguration, distinguished dignitaries, including government officials and industry leaders, hailed IIJS Tritiya as the gateway to global gem and jewellery exports, emphasizing its role in promoting India’s rich heritage and craftsmanship on an international scale.

The event was a resounding success, reaffirming India’s position as a global hub for exquisite gems and jewellery, and setting the stage for continued growth and innovation in the industry.
