Massive Fire Gutted Nine Air Conditioned Cottages of a Resort at Bagmallo Beach Goa

According to the sources, a massive fire broke out in a Resort at Bagmallo Beach and nine cottages out of sixteen were completely gutted in the fire. The sources have revealed that the fire broke out in the air conditioned cottages belonging to a Resort at Bagmallo.

The sources in the media have said that The fire broke out in the Air Conditioned cottages in the Hotel Resort at Bagmallo in the morning at around 11 am on Monday. Immediately the fire service had been summoned to bring the fire under control.

One of the spectators from the Bagmallo Beach told the media that, after the fire broke out from the cottages, nobody seemed to be aware of it. The fire personnel said that they received the call regarding the fire at around 11.30 am. “We received the call at around 11.30 am saying that the fire broke out in the cottages at Bagmallo. Without wasting any time we deployed two fire tenders on the work of fire control. We reached the spot in 50 minutes. But by the time we reached the spot all nine out of 16 cottages were completely gutted in the fire. We immediately swung into action to control the fire to save the remains cottages,” said the fire tender personnel.

Although the exact loss has not yet ascertained but according to the sources, all the nine air conditioned huts along with a SPA were gutted in the fire. The Resort at Bagmallo had total 16 cottages out of which 9 were gutted in the fire. The investigation is underway to find out the cause of the fire and to estimate the actual loss, said the sources.
