In one of the shocking incident Abhishek Singh alias Kera who was associated with K9 production house that produces the comedy television serial “The Kapil Sharma Show” was arrested by the UP (Uttar Pradesh) Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday for his alleged involvement into the shootout. The report claims that he is the main accused in the Azamgarh that resulted into the injuries of three people and death of two people. This incident said to have taken place in the year 2009, October.

After that incident, Kera was absconding from Azamgarh for more than five years and later police discovered that he is staying in Mumbai with the help of new identity as Rohit Singh. The police sources claimed that kera carried a cash reward of Rs. 30,000 for his involvement in this crime.

According to the sources, police after receiving the tip from an informer who had Abhishek’s photograph and noticed stark similarities in features of Abhishek and Andheri resident Rohit. Additional superintendent of STF Arvind Chaturvedi along with team laid a trap and nabbed Abhishek on Thursday.

Rohit (Kera) said to have been staying in Mumbai with the new identity since he disappeared from Azamgarh after committing the crime said the sources. Part of the showbiz, ever since he landed in Mumbai, Kera did many successful comedy shows, including The Great Indian Comedy Show on Sab TV. He also gave auditions for small parts in Bollywood films and television serials.

“Intelligence gathering revealed that he (Abhishek) had acted in as many as nine episodes of Great Indian Family Drama apart from another serial titled Code Red which is available on YouTube,” said additional SP STF Arvind Chaturvedi, who led the operation.

Singh was reportedly working on a contract with K-9 Productions. He has also dabbled in acting, appearing in The Great Indian Family Drama and Code Red. The channel, when contacted, refused to comment on the subject, stating that shooting for the show is on with Kapil and team wrapping up an episode with Rustom lead actors, Akshay Kumar and Ileana D’Cruz, on Friday.
