A 24-year-old beautician found dead inside her beauty parlour on Thursday evening. This case looks to be the suicide angle said the police sources. When they reached the spot they found the body of deceased hanging to the ceiling fan of the beauty parlor. The reason behind the suicide is not known claimed the sources. This incident took place in the Ghatkopar, one of the suburbs of Mumbai.
The name of the deceased is identified at Priyanka Jaganathan from Ghatkopar area. The sources have informed that she had allegedly hanged herself to the ceiling of the parlor situated in the Garden Galli in Ghatkopar (West).
The police sources from Ghatkopar has informed that her body was first discovered by her family member hanging from the ceiling inside the parlour when they came to the parlour looking for her at around 8pm.
According to the investigation team, the diseased Priyanka had two employees working under her but when the incident took place they were absent at the work. After inquiring with them it has been revealed that the employees were given leave on Thursday. According to the sources, the police is not ruling out the existence of the foul play at the moment.
The police investigation has stated that when the mother and a sister of the deceased came to the parlor at 8.30pm they found the door was closed from inside. After knocking several times on the door when they did not get any response from the inside they called the key maker from nearby and managed to get the access inside.
The police claim that Priyanka had probably ended her life at around 8.30pm. “Priyanka probably took her life around 8.30 am. She was found hanging with her own dupatta, with music playing loudly in the parlour. No suicide note has been recovered,” said Vyankat Patil, senior police inspector, Ghatkopar police station.
The case of murders and suicide is growing day by day with a number of cases getting surfaced on a daily basis. In the above case, it has not yet been ascertained if it was a suicide or murder although prima facie it looked to be a case of suicide. The further police investigations clubbed with the post mortem reports will bring the better conclusion into this case.
