The most incident of tantric massage and rape came into the light when a 32-year-old woman (American tourist) lodged the complaint with Pernem police station on Tuesday again the accused Pratik Agarwal. According to the victim woman, a 38-year-old massage therapist (masseur) Pratik Agarwal had raped her in the pretext of giving her the Tantric Massage. The North Goa SP Karthik Kashyap said that the police have arrested the accused Agarwal and he has confessed to the crime. “We have arrested Agarwal and further investigations are in progress. The accused has confessed to the crime”, said Mr. Kashyap.
According to the sources, the victim woman is currently living in Goa on a work visa and the incident of the rape is supposed to have taken place on 2nd February at Agarwal’s School of Holistic Yoga and Ayurveda Centre at Korgao village in Pernem. According to the victim, she had gone there for a Tantric massage when the incident occurred. The victim woman narrated to the Pernem police that, on the pretext of giving her a tantric massage, the accused Agarwal allegedly directed her to remove her clothes. After doing the same, he himself removed his clothes and allegedly sexually assaulted and raped her, said the sources.
According to the complainant, the accused Agarwal had also raped a Canadian girl earlier who had come for a massage to his therapy center. “The accused has been arrested and produced before a local court which has remanded him in police custody for eight days,” said the Police in charge of Pernem Mr. Parab. The Pernem police have registered a case under Sections 376, 354 An IPC. Further investigation is in progress. According to the information provided by the police spokesperson, the accused Pratik Agarwal belongs to Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh and he runs a yoga institute at Pernem in north Goa.
