US NATIONAL RESIDING IN GOA WAS FOUND DEAD AT HIS RENTED PREMISES IN ANJUNA POLICE RULED OUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A FOUL PLAY

GOA IS A HEAVEN FOR THE FOREIGNERS AND MANY OF THEM COMES HERE AS TOURIST BUT OFTEN DECIDE TO STAY BACK. THERE ARE MANY FOREIGNERS STAYING IN GOA LONGER THAN THEY HAVE PLANNED AND ARE INVOLVED IN  VARIOUS ACTIVITIES, DANIEL THOMAS WAS ONE OF THEM WHOSE BODY WAS FOUND AT THE RENTED PREMISES IN ANJUNA.

Police have ruled out the possibility of any foul play into the death of the Daniel Thomas Belier, 68, US National and were currently residing at a rented premises in Anjuna in North Goa. Police recovered the body of deceased Daniel from his rented apartment on Thursday night.

The sources in the police revealed that they have no suspicion of any foul play since according to their knowledge the deceased Daniel was not feeling well for the past few days. The sources said that Daniel was staying in Goa for the past six months and he was involved in artistic pursuits.

The sources said that Daniel had called one of his friends on a Thursday night saying that he was not feeling well. But, by the time his friend could arrive, Daniel had collapsed on the floor.

On noticing that he was not responding, neighbors called the 108 ambulance service. After examining him, the ambulance staff declared that he was dead, police said. Police said that on Thursday at around 10 pm Belier was found lying on the floor of the house.

Anjuna police did the panchanama on the site and sent the body of the deceased Daniel for post-mortem to GMC (Goa Medical College) & Hospitals at Bambolim. His body will be preserved in the GMC morgue after the postmortem, said the sources. 

The Anjuna police have registered the case as unnatural death and they have informed the US consulate about the same. Further investigation is in progress.
