GOA IS CONSIDERED AS A (DRUG) PARADISE BY DOMESTIC AS WELL AS THE FOREIGNER TOURISTS, AND PEOPLE FROM ACROSS THE WORLD COMES HERE FOR PARTYING AND MERRYMAKING. DRUGS HAS ALWAYS REMAINED AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF RAVE PARTIES THAT TAKES PLACE ILLEGALLY IN THE COSTAL BELTS OF GOA. IN ONE SUCH INCIDENT TWO YOUTHS FROM TWO DIFFERENT STATES HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES DUE TO THE SUSPECTED DRUG OVERDOSE….

In one of the most shocking incidents that took place in the wee hours of Sunday at Anjuna, where two youth, one from Kerala and other from Tamil Nadu had died of a drug overdose. Although this is not the first case of death due to the drug overdose in the state of Goa. But, there seems to be no strict action initiated against anyone as yet.

Anjuna is very famous for the late night and rave parties, and which is not very far from the police out post of Anjuna, and yet the drugs gets into the parties under the nose of police and administration.

The reports have confirmed that two youth died on the Sunday early morning at two separate rave parties at Popular party joints situated in Anjuna Village. The Anjuna police suspect the reason behind the deaths is a possible overdose of drugs, said the sources.

Meanwhile according to the reports the local MLA and Water Resources Minister of Goa Mr. Vinod Paliyekar, who is presently out of Goa, spoke to media from Russia over the video conferencing said that he ordered a thorough probe into the matter of deaths of two youth, Praveen Sundaram of Tamilnadu and Nidam Abdulla from Kerala who died in a private hospital in Anjuna.

RAVE PARTIES ARE FAMOUS IN GOA 

The minister spoke from St. Petersburg in Russia addressing to the North Goa Superintendent of Police demanding the strict ban on the rave parties and other late night events that illegally takes place in Anjuna. “I am feeling very sad that such incident took place in my constituency. I have been talking about the outdoor music and rave parties to the police and Chief Secretary time to time for taking strict action against such activities,” he said making his side clear.

He further added that today’s unfortunate incident has proved that his stand was clear. “I have instructed the North Goa SP about the same and demanded a thorough probe into this incident. I have also told them if such incident takes place again then strict action will be initiated against them,” he added.

The sources have revealed that Praveen and Abdulla were spotted by their friends in the parking lot in a deteriorated condition. They immediately took the duo to the nearby hospitals but doctors declared one of them dead on arrival while the other died on the way to GMC (Goa Medical College) & Hospitals, Bambolim.

The Anjuna police summoned their four friends for an inquiry, and it has been revealed that there was a rave party going on at Anjuna. Abdul and Praveen left the party in middle and went out but when they spotted the duo sitting outside in the parking lot, it was revealed to them that they are not feeling well. When they were taken to the hospital doctors confirmed that they died due to the drug overdose.

The sources in the hospital have confirmed the above report and said they duo died of drug overdose, and they probably have consumed Ecstasy Drug. In fact, it was the hospital authorities that informed the police about the death of duo due to the drug overdose, said the sources. According to the sources, the bodies of the deceased have been kept in the GMC morgue for the post mortem which is scheduled to be conducted on Monday.

Presently police have just registered a FIR, and no arrests have been made so far, said the police sources. The Anjuna police said that they are waiting for the post mortem report to confirm the exact reason behind the death of two youth.

Meanwhile, the North Goa SP Ms. Chandan Chaudhary did not rule out the drug overdose in this case but she said that they are waiting for the post mortem report to confirm the same. What is your say on this serious issue?? Please do leave your valuable comments on this.
