Yet another accident took place in Goa within the span of just two days involving the two-wheeler and a car. According to the sources, the two-wheeler hit head on to the car coming from the opposite direction injuring the duo on the bike severely. The Injured youths (a girl and a boy) in their twenties had been admitted to the district hospital at Ponda in south Goa. Their condition was said to be critical. Read more here….
Based on the information available from the reliable sources, one Karthik Ayyar (23) from Dattagad Bethora and Disha Shripad Naik (22) native of Adpai Ponda were severely injured in an accident after the two-wheeler they were riding had collided head-on with the car coming from the opposite direction near GVM college in Ponda, said the sources.
According to the Ponda police, the duo had been rushed to the Ponda District hospital in severely injured condition and their condition is said to be critical. The Ponda Police said that the accident took place at around 9.15pm on Friday. The duo was traveling on the two wheeler which was said to be heading towards Ponda from Farmagudi. The riders are said to have driven the bike in a rash manner thus causing this accident but more information not made available until late night in this regards.
Meanwhile, the Ponda police sources have said that they reached the accident spot after getting the information from the unknown person who called the police station informing about the accident. The team of police headed by PSI Arun Bakre reached the spot at around 9.30pm and did the panchanama.
The police sources have said that they did not have much information about the incident except the names of the injured youths. Quoting eye witnesses, the police said that the bike was heading to Ponda from Farmagudi while the car was coming from the opposite direction. The vehicles collided near the KTC bus stand.
Although the information came late night at around 10.45 pm on the social media whats app group stating that the boy had succumbed to his injuries while undergoing the treatment and girl is still in critical condition but this information has not yet been verified by the Goa Prism correspondent. In the case of any further development, we will update the readers on the social media about the same.
