Two more arrested in Kamaxi Forex cheating case

The kamaxi forex owner Nilesh Raikar duped around 445 persons had surrendered before Goa police. His wife and mother that were hiding all this while, have now been arrested. The Economic offense cell (EOC) of Goa police arrested the wife and mother of the owner of Kamaxi Forex Private Limited, Nilesh Raikar in a cheating case.

EOC had arrested Raikar last month for duping over 445 persons to a tune of Rs 29 crore plus.

On Monday around 150 investors of Kamaxi Forex Private Limited demanded that mother and wife of the owner be arrested.

As per the reports superintendent of police (SP), EOC, Priyanka Kashyap said Raikar’s wife Nilima, 35, and mother Rekha, 65, have been arrested.

As told by the Sources, Nilesh claimed that he is nearly bankrupt, and have promised the representatives to return their money once he is out on bail. Nilesh’s custodial interrogation ends on May 5 when the investigation team will ask for the extension of his judicial custody.

EOC Police Inspector Shivram Vaigankar said, “The locals came to us demanding that Nilesh at least returns their principal amount if not the entire money with interest”.
