Two more deaths of youth in their twenties, one from Navelim and other from Pernem has taken place in Goa on Wednesday. According to the sources, both have died on the spot in two separate accidents on Wednesday in North and South Goa. Both the accidents said to have been taken place when the youth were riding their bikes in rash and negligence manner, revealed the sources.
According to the information available from reliable sources, two accidents (one in the north and other in south Goa) had taken place in Goa on Wednesday resulting in the death of youth in their twenties. According to the news published by the Times of India, two motorcyclists in their twenties, from Navelim (south goa) and Pernem (north goa) died on the spot in two separate accidents, on Wednesday.
The names of the first deceased are given as Rahul Champaval (23), a resident of Shirvodem, Nevelim died on the spot in a head-on collision that took place at Moti Dongor in Margao. The motorcycle he was riding had hit the car coming from the opposite direction at Moti Dongor area in Margao, South Goa. The indent said to have taken place in the afternoon time at around 12.45 pm. The sources have also revealed that the deceased Rahul Champaval was working with the Margao Municipal Council on the daily wages for the collection of the door to door garbage.
The other youth from Pernem died in a self-accident while he was riding his two-wheeler in a reckless manner, said the sources. The name of the deceased is given as Omkar Arolkar from Konadi, Korgao, Pernem, is said to have died on the spot at Peddem in Mapusa early morning on Wednesday after he lost the control of his bike and hit the tree. According to the police sources, he was declared brought dead at the District Hospital in Mapusa, North Goa.
In both the above cases, the rash and negligent driving has not been ruled out by the sources. In the recent times, a maximum accident that is taking place involves the youth either in their teens or in the twenties. Most of them get hold of small medium superbikes and try to do the stunts with it on the roads endangering the lives of others along with themselves. There are several articles has been written in this regards but nothing seems to be helping much. Hope this issue gets tackled by the parents of the respective pupils who ride the two wheelers if not the enforcing authorities.
