This is the shocking incident that took place in Thane Maharashtra. According to the sources, the Thane resident killed himself after butchering his own 14 family members including infant children in the wee hours of the day. The only survivor his younger sister is the only eyewitness in this case. Read the complete story of this murder mystery here.
The First Part of the Story
According to the story published in the Mumbai Mid-Day, in a horrifying crime, a man allegedly murdered 14 members of his family, including seven children, and committed suicide by hanging himself in the wee hours of Sunday in Thane. Reportedly all the All 15 members including the accused were from the same family residing at Vadavli village on Kasarvadavli at Ghodbunder road in Thane.
Based on the information given by the Mumbai police, the suspect Mohammad Hansil Anwar Warekar, age 35, was the chartered accountant by profession earning Rs. 80,000 per month. According to the police, the incident supposedly took place somewhere after 1 is on Sunday. “According to us, the accused first poisoned all the 14 family members and later slit their throats with a sharp weapon. After our team reached to the crime spot they found that the suspected accused also hanged self after committing the crime,” said the senior police officer attached the Thane police station.
[su_expand more_text=”READ MORE” less_text=” ” height=”0″ hide_less=”yes” link_style=”button” link_align=”center”] According to the police sources, they have recovered the bodies of 15 people including the accused from the crime spot. “The bodies that we recovered includes the alleged accused Hansil, his father Ismail Warekar 60, his mother, wife, three sisters and one relative along with the seven children,” narrated the police officer.
Surprisingly one of the members of the family, Sobiya Bharmal has survived this massacre and she has presently admitted to the hospitals with minor injuries claimed the reports. “Sobiya is the only one who mysteriously survived this brutal attack and she undergoing the treatment at the Titan Hospital. There were seven kids including the 4-month-old child of Sobiya and 6months old child of Hansil who were killed in this brutal attack. We are waiting for the survivor to get well so that we record her statement which will help us to get the clear picture behind these brutal murders,” said the officer.
However the police sources are suspecting the reason behind this massive massacre is the family dispute over the issue of property.
The Second Part
According to the story narrated by the lone survivor Sobiya, Hansil Warekar, the suspected accused has sedated the family members with the spiked soft drink before slitting the throats of 14 family members with the sacrificial knife. She reportedly denied drinking the soft drink since she had a cold and after witnessing the brutal murders she reportedly locked herself inside the room and alerted the neighbor. Unfortunately, her four months old child could not survive this attack. Sobiya is the sister of an accused and she was the part of the family function at her brother’s place on that fateful day but her husband did not make it to the function and remained safe.
Sobiya Bharmal is the only eyewitness for this brutal massacre. She witnessed her own parents, siblings and her only child (4 months old) Alfiya murdered in front of her eyes on Saturday night. According to the information provided by the police officer, they took her to the hospital and crime Branch officers tried to soothe her, telling her not to worry, her daughter was safe. “Sobiya looked at us in anger and said ‘Don’t try to fool me. I know everyone is dead. I saw the incident with my own eyes and not a single person is alive’,” said an officer.
According to the story narrated by the police based on the statement of Sobiya, the Warekar family came together for a weekend daawat at Warekar’s residence in Thane. Hansil sent a rickshaw to pick up his youngest sister Sobiya and her husband was instructed to join them next day. In the Daawat after the food, Hansil’s wife offered everyone a soft drink unaware of the fact that it has been laced with sedatives. “Everyone had a soft drink except Sobiya, who refused to drink saying that she is having a cold and this fact left unnoticed by Hansil. After consuming the soft drink everyone fell unconscious while Sobiya was alone awake at that time. She saw her brother slitting the throat of other members of the family. Finally, he moved towards her but she managed to push her away and locked herself into the room and started screaming “Mujhe bachao, muje bachao! Bhai jaan ne sab ko maar daala, wo mujhe bhi maar dalega, bachao!’ (Help … help… brother had killed everyone…. he will kill me too… help … help).
According to one of the neighbor who is also Warekar, it was around 3.30 am when she heard the scream and her immediately aletered her son and asked him to find out what happened there. He went near their window and saw the bodies lying in the blood of pool and Hansil was hanging. Immediately he altered all the neighbors and they managed to remove the injured Sobiya from the room and shifted her into the hospital.
According to the neighbors while they were shifting the Sobiya to the hospital she narrated them the following story. Based on her story, she was asleep when this incident took place. “I saw Hansil killing my sister with a sharp knife on the throat. He slit my daughter’s throat too. I saw what was happening, but couldn’t react. But when he came towards me, I stood up and started fighting with him. In the scuffle, I got injured but I managed to escape and locked myself in the room and started shouting for help,” She said.
It looks like the police have convinced with the narrated version of the story by the lone survivor who is also the only eyewitness in this case, but what do you feel?
