In one of the most shocking incidents, a hotelier from Nerul was stabbed to death by two accused over the petty issue. A petty scuffle over the rent a bike lead to the death of one hotelier in Candolim. The brutal incident which took place on Tuesday morning at one of the most popular beach destinations in Goa. The owner of the hotel situated in Nerul Candolim was stabbed to death by two men over the small dispute to rent a bike.

According to the reports, the victim Vishwajit Singh, a native of Delhi was running a business of hospitality in Nerul near Candolim. Besides the hotel business, he also used to deal with the rent a bike business. The dispute erupted over the taking of rent a bike by the accused without the permission of the victim.

The accused were known to the victim said the sources. The accused Umesh Rathod, age 25 and Dayashankar are natives of Gadag in Karnataka and were presently residing at Candolim. Following the incident both the accused were on run, but soon caught by Goa police in the record time of 12 hours, said the sources.

According to the sources, the accused had told the police that they attacked Singh and his friend following the confrontation by Singh over the issue of taking his bike without permission.

The Goa Police under the guidance of SP North Ms. Chandan Chaudhary doing further investigation to find out the real motive behind this murder case. “It is difficult to believe that the murder took place over the petty issue of a Bike,” said the sources in Goa Police.
