The description of the train will surely amaze you. It boasts of having 200 KMPH speed with worlds most powerful breaking system installed in it to ascertain the safety of the passengers. The new train ‘Tejas Express’ will initially shuttle between Goa and Mumbai from June this year and after the successful operations, it will be commenced on other routes. The train is also supposed to be the most luxurious with modern emanates fitted inside it, let’s take a look at its features and luxury.
Last year the Indian Railway had introduced a Double Decker train to Goa and it was the up gradation of Shatabdi Express which runs between Goa and Mumbai thrice in a week. The entry of Tejas will change the way people used to travel via train in India, said the sources. The Tejas Express is having an automatic door locking system that of the Metro Trains and once train begins its journey the doors will automatically get locked and will only open when it stops, said the sources.
According to the sources, a 20 coach premier train which will run between Mumbai and Goa is said to be the spoilt of choices with the state of the art facilities which includes the cuisine by the celebrity chefs, it will be laced with high-speed wi-fi facility. Every boogie will have the tea coffee vending machines, Magazine racks, and snack tables. In addition, it will have sensors taps and hand dryers. It is also the first train to have a secured gangways for all coaches. The train is expected to be on track from June 2017.
The most stunning thing that train will have over the other existing ones is the LCD screens installed which will display the latest movie and television shows besides providing the safety instructions onscreen said the sources. It will also have digital destination boards and passenger reservation charts. For the visually challenged, the train will have integrated braille displays. On the lines of Rajdhani and Shatabdi, catering service will be included in Tejas fares.
According to the sources, Tejas Express will consist of Executive Chair Cars. The safety system in the train is said to be the most advanced type. Every bogie will be equipped with the CCTV cameras and fire smoke detection and suppression systems. The train which will run at the speed of 200 KMPH will cover the Mumbai-Goa distance within 8 hours time, said the sources.

After the success of Mumbai-Goa operations, Tejas Express’ is expected to be introduced in the Delhi-Chandigarh section.
