There is a possibility of split in Goa BJP due to various reasons one amongst that is the recent induction of the Kumbarjua MLA Pandurang Madkaikar who will now fight the Kumbarjua seat with BJP party ticket said he sources. The sources have also revealed that this led to the cold war in BJP camp with North Goa MP, Shripad Naik coming out in the media against the decision of Goa BJP. The sources have also said that, Shripad Naik’s son, Siddesh Naik has received an offer to contest the election from Kumbarjua on MGP ticket. Read the complete report here

According to the sources, BJP came to the power in Goa due to their promise of providing the transparent governance in Goa. But unfortunately they had failed to deliver what they promised. Now the BJP has become one of those political party whom people Goa thrown out from the power in 2012 elections, said the sources. Mr. Shripad Naik who won the north Goa seat for the fourth time on BJP ticket is now seen speaking against the party policy in Goa. According to Mr. Naik, Goa BJP has entered into the Dirty Politics.

Based on the Prudent Media reports, North Goa MP Shripad Naik, BJP Goa has got into the Dirty Politics by induction two senior Congress Legislature, Pandurang Madkaikar and Mauvin Godinho into the party fold.  The comments of the senior party man has led to uncover the split into party. “BJP had came into power in Goa due to their clean policies which people had believed into. But now it looks like the things are not happening as expected,” he said adding that “They (BJP) should value the efforts of the new generation youth (his son) who has worked hard day and night in the interest of party and if the party starts importing the candidates from outside then it will be injustice towards the youth.” According to Mr. Naik, the people (two congress rebels) who have been imported into the (BJP) party, have no social standing and won elections only on the muscle/money power. “According to me this is not the ‘culture’ of Bhartiya Janata Party. The BJP had came into power to clean the dirty politics but instead if they only start making it dirty then what difference will remain between BJP and other political parties,” he asked.

Meanwhile, the BJP Vijay Sankalp Melava held at Kumbarjua after the induction of Congress MLA, Pandurang Madkaikar did not witness the presence of Mr. Shirpad Naik and his son Sidddesh Naik (Siddesh Naik was promised a ticket by BJP from Kumbarjua constituency) but when the reporters asked Mr. Parrikar about the same he replied in his own style saying, “Why you are asking me that? How can I reply to this question of yours? As far as Shripad is concerned he has been taken into the confidence by us before making the final decision and why he did not come to the meeting that you better ask him only as I cannot answer for “SOMEONE ELSE.” But when media contacted Mr. Naik he said that he was not invited for the function at Kumbarjua and neither he was informed about the decision. “He (Parrikar) had informed me only after everything was decided and I immediately told him that this is wrong. Ultimately, If he has decided then it is his decision and I am not concerned with the same. I did not go to Vijay Sankalp Melava since they had not invited me,” he said.

The above story shows clear and wide split in Goa BJP which is bound to get wider with the time. Mr. Naik said that he kept silent all the while in the interest of party (BJP) but not anymore. “I did not come out in press in the interest of party but he (Parrikar) should have not given the wrong information out in media. I will take this issue right up to the party high command,” he said.

Meanwhile, Siddesh Naik came out in the media and expressed his displeasure saying “I was told by the senior party leaders in BJP that, they will provide me with the party candidature from Kumbarjua constituency. They told me to take over the position of Youth Party President and work in the constituency. But now they have taken the decision of inducting Congress MLA Pandurang Madkaikar into BJP and I am not at all happy with the same. All my party workers from Kumbarjua constituency are against the decision. I personally feel that, the party has done injustice to me as well as all the party workers of the constituency by inducting the Madkaikar,” he said.

Meanwhile, according to the sources, Mr. Shripad Naik’s son Siddesh has been offered the MGP ticket from Kumbarjua constituency.  Overall, according to the sources the BJP party is going through negative developments in the state and that is not good for the party. According to Mr. Naik the party decisions needs to be taken collectively and not by ‘one person’. People of Goa have trusted the (BJP) party due to its clean policy and we are not suppose to break that trust of the people of Goa. Mr. Naik said that he will stay in the party and fight with the injustice.

Overall, whatever is happening in state lately is not good and not in the interest of the people of Goa. If politicians try to play dirty with the feelings of the people then on the day of election the same people of Goa will show them their right place. The elections are round the corner and this cold war is bound to get bigger and louder in the due course of time.
