Shiv Sena May Get Into The Alliance with Congress in UP and Goa

There is a strong possibility of Shiv Sena party joining hands with the Congress and will also reach out to the other Anti-BJP forces.

According to the reports, the meeting between the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and BJP leader Sanjay Raut has given an indication of Congress – Shiv Sena alliance with the help of like minded parties will fight against the BJP in the forthcoming election and win. 

During his meeting with Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, Raut had asked him to reach out to other anti-BJP forces to join the Congress- led alliance. 

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had an hour-long meeting with Congress general clerk Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday to explore the option of an electoral alliance in bean-bound Uttar Pradesh and Goa. 

The meeting comes a day after Raut’s addresses with former Congress chairman Rahul Gandhi. During his meeting with Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, Raut had asked him to reach out to other anti-BJP forces to join the Congress- led alliance. 

The Shiv Sena leader told journalists that Priyanka Gandhi bandied the political situation in Uttar Pradesh and other bean-bound countries with him. The meeting comes against the background of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) pates coming time amid the Congress’ assertions of going it alone. 

Raut said the meeting with Priyanka was “ positive” and added, “ we are allowing of working together in Uttar Pradesh and Goa.” The two parties will go to pates coming time. A Sena functionary said that an alliance between Shiv Sena and Congress will help take on BJP in the bean-bound countries. “ Without Hindutva and strict nationalism, no party can take on BJP at the public position. We’ve both with us and can give a tough fight to BJP,” he was quoted by Times of India as saying. 

Raut, still, finessed a reply on the possibility of the Sena joining the Congress- led UPA. He said he’d bandy certain issues with party supremo and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray first. 

 After the meeting the Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, Raut said the Sena has formerly stated that no opposition front is possible without the Congress. 

“ I haven’t talked about any leader leading the front. I’m only saying there should be only onefront.However, also it can not be an volition, If there are two-three fronts. Only also can we present an volition (to the BJP),”he stressed. 

Arch-rivals in the state until 2019, the Sena and the Congress came together along with the NCP to form the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
