According to the news published in The Hindustan Times national daily, the Media Baron Peter Mukherjea, one of the prime accused in Sheena Bora Murder case has appealed to the Bombay High Court for the preview of Dark Chocolate movie which is reportedly based on the Sheena Bora murder case. The Bombay High Court has apparently rejected the plea made by the sister of the accused.
[su_expand more_text=”READ MORE” less_text=” ” height=”0″ hide_less=”yes” link_style=”button” link_align=”center”] Peter Mukherjea, the Media Baron and ex-star TV CEO, who is presently facing the charges of Sheena Bora murder and is in police custody for quite some time has appealed in front of Bombay High Court for the preview of movie ‘Dark Chocolate’ which according to him is based on the Sheena Bora murder case. According to the Peter’s sister Shangom Dasgupta who had filed a plea on behalf of Peter for a stay on the Bengali movie ‘Dark Chocolate’ release has an opinion that that release of the movie will have the adverse effect on the accused and his family as the movie is based on the Sheena Bora murder case. The media baron also told the high court through his counsel that the movie would have an impact on the trial proceedings if released for public viewing.

Although the bench headed by Justice S C Dharmadhikari has denied the permission asking them to place the legally valid argument in front of the court to prove their point of the possibility of the trial getting ‘prejudiced’. “Don’t make any requests for a preview. The court can’t grant you that without any valid ground. There are countless campaigns related to the case that is being published and broadcasted by the media. All details of the case and the trial are being discussed in the public domain. But if those don’t affect your right to free trial, how can this regional movie suddenly affect the same?” justice Dharmadhikari asked.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker has already submitted their say on the plot of the movie in the earlier hearing stating that, though the plot and characters of the film were inspired by the Sheena Bora case but the film is not defamatory in any manner to anybody. In their arguments, they have told the court that, they had only used the information in the “charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation, which is already in the public domain.”

The judge has heard both the parties and the final arguments pertaining to the demand for a stay on the film’s release have been scheduled by the court for April 7. This may not be the only case which Peter and his family may have to face in the future as based on the available information one well-known producer in Mumbai film industry has already made a movie about the Sheena Bora case. Since the matter is already in the public domain the making of such more films may happen. It also the fact that the family of Peter is facing unnecessary tension due to this case but that will remain till Peter comes out clean from this case. The investigation must be having the valid points to keep the media baron behind the bars. Only time will tell whether Peter will get out of it or will be made a part of it.

Meanwhile, Indrani had also accused her son Mikhail of killing Sheena that he had denied outright saying that the allegations leveled against him were just Indrani Mukherjea’s attempt to save her skin. “Mumbai Police and CBI have investigated the matter very well, and if I had done something wrong, they would have arrested me long back. Indrani is just trying to escape, and I know CBI is on the right track now. Hopefully, we will get justice soon and the accused should be hanged.”
This case is taking various twists and turns and showing the true colors of the relationships. In this case, everyone is in the process of saving their own skin and pushing others into it. This case is also the true example of how far the relationships can sustain the pressures. Perhaps Mumbai police are going through the tough time to find out who is guilty and who not.
