ANOTHER SEX RACKET BUSTED IN NORTH GOA, NATIVES OF ASSAM AND BENGAL ARRESTED BY CALANGUTE POLICE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF STATION INCHARGE JIVBA DALVI

Goa seems to be the fertile land for the sex and drug traders from across the world. There are several cases of sex rackets drug paddling coming up on regular basis especially from the coastal belts of north Goa. In yet another crackdown the Calangute police under the able guidance of PI Jivba Dalvi had busted the sex racket in Calangute, north Goa and arrested two procurers belonging to Assam and Bengal.   

Goa being the major tourism destination the mafias involved into the flesh trade and drugs keeps making efforts to set up the base here but the most efficient Goa Police always foils their plans. In one such incident, the Calangute police under the guidance of Police Inspector and Incharge of Calangute police station Mr. Jivba Dalvi had busted the sex racket in the Calangute of Wednesday.

The sources have revealed that on the receipt of information the Calangute police acted swiftly and nabbed two accused (pimps) and recused two women from their custody. “We have arrested two pimps and rescued two women after busting a prostitution racket on Wednesday night,” said PI Dalvi adding that they had received information about a prostitution racket being operated by some persons in Calangute, who were transporting women to customers on two-wheelers.

“Upon getting the information from our sources, we laid the trap by planting the decoy customer who placed the demand with the pimps and accordingly both the culprits came down with the girls on the 2 two wheelers and police nabbed Subrata Nayak, a native of Assam, and Abdul Mayam, a native of Bengal. The two women rescued are from Punjab and Maharashtra,” said Mr. Dalvi.                  

The raid was conducted in the presence of an NGO. The two women are lodged at the protective home in Merces. Police inform that the accused persons are providing girls for prostitution on two wheelers and as such it became very difficult to identify and trace the victims and the accused pimps from the general public, also it proves that the pimps are looking for different modus operandi to commit these crimes. Police attached Yamaha scooter bearing no GA 03 AC 2671 and Vespa scooter bearing number GA 03 AB 1227 also 3 mobile phones and cash from accused possession. Police team involved in the raid are Pi Jivba Dalvi, Psi’s Videsh Pilgaonkar , Sitaram Malik Rishikesh Patil And staff Subhash Malvankar, Vidhyanand Amonkar, Swapnil Simepurushkar , Lpc Mithila bayekar  Ngo Geeta Ghadi of care for India… Offense u/s 370 IPC and sec 4,5,&7 of immoral traffic ( prevention) act 1956 registered.
