According to Pernem Police, the mother of the victim has lodged the complaint alleging that the school headmaster had raped her minor daughter in the month of April and the girl said to have been studying in class I.

Acting on the complaint filed by the parent of victim girl Pernem police has booked the case against accused under section 376 and the girl is said to be referred for medical examination and the report is awaited.

According to the sources, this case took place in the month of April when the girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by the headmaster of government primary school and subsequently she was taken to private hospital where doctors told the parents of victim girl that she had been sexually raped. The mother of the victim has mentioned the same in her complaint.

Following this incident, mother of victim demanded a leaving certificate of her daughter from the school and same was allegedly delayed by the headmaster of the government primary school. However after getting the leaving certificate in her hands she lodged the complaint against the accused, said the sources.

The above matter has been confirmed by the Pernem PI Sanjay Dalvi who told the media, “It is true that the mother of the victim girl has complained of alleged rape and, acting on the complaint, we have registered the case under section 376 of IPC and awaiting the medical report.”

The investigation is in progress since the police are now waiting for the medical reports in this regards. This kind of incidents shakes the trust of the person from the system. If the child is not safe in the school where else it could be? The headmaster is like a father figure for the students and if he only started abusing them where the student and their parents will go. Normally many case people do not come out with the complaint against the accused and this makes them carry on their practice indefinitely. If proven guilty the rapist should be given harsh punishment. If you wish to share your suggestions on this issue kindly go ahead.
