According to the sources, Remo has come up with the different version of the story.

According to the reliable sources, the pop star Remo Fernandes has arrived in the state via Qatar Airways by morning flight QR 523. Remo Fernandes, who has been accused of allegedly threatening a minor girl who was knocked by the speeding car drove by his son Jonah on the Mapusa – Panaji highway on December 1, 2015, has been reportedly arrived into the state this morning, Earlier the sources had denied the possibility of the arrival of pop star in Goa prior to 8th January 2016.

According to the news published by PTI, Remo returned to Goa despite local courts has posted the dates of hearing on his anticipatory bail plea in the next week. The singer and composer against whom the lookout notice was issued by the local police for not remaining present before the police for an inquiry have showed up today with the allegation that kin of the girl is trying to extort the money from him.

The plea filed by the counsel of the singer states that Remo is a native of Goa but has acquired the Portuguese nationality and currently is in possession of Portuguese passport. According to Remo, he will be soon exposing some people. “The complaint filed by Aires Rodrigues in association with the family of injured and one or two more individuals from Goa and Sindhudurg will be exposed soon,” Remo told the national news agency PTI on his arrival to Goa.

Remo has laid his faith on the judiciary system of the state and said that he will not succumb to the extortion demands. It may be recalled that the complaint of verbal abuse against the singer was filed by the social activist and lawyer Aires Rodrigues in the local police station and based on that same the lookout notice was issued by the Goa Police.

In his anticipatory bail application, Remo has stated that he had met the victim at the GMC (Goa Medical Collage) on December 3rd, 2015, two days after the accident and offered to pay Rs. 50,000 towards the treatment and travel expenses. “To my surprise, the younger sister of the victim girl behaved with me in very rude and impolite manner and began demanding Rs. 3 Lakh,” he stated in his plea. Remo said that the reason of him remaining silent on this issue earlier was based on the advice of his previous lawyer and now since the matter is under judicial consideration he had replaced his lawyer.

“I replaced my lawyer with the very able advocate Rajeev Gomes,” he told the media. According to him, he returned to Goa this morning after finishing all his professional and personal commitments in Europe earlier than it was planned. “Now I am on the war footing to expose the fabrications and lies which have been leveled against me by Ares Rodrigues and others,” he said.

In his intervention application which he had filed through his lawyer Rajeev Gomes in the Goa Children’s Court, he stated he has prior commitments in Europe and he is making all the efforts to complete them before January 8, 2016, before his scheduled arrival in Goa.

The hearing on the applications has been fixed by the court on 5th January 2016 which falls in the next week which will decide the fate of the singer as well as the victim. We will keep you updated on this case as it happens. Please leave your comments and suggestions on this issue.
