Many of you must be wondering as to why your JIO service still not disconnected by the company despite non-upgradations to the “JIO PRIME MEMBERSHIP’ plans. But as of now, there is no need to worry since you have the time till 15th April to enjoy the free browsing of the net and after that, if you plan to upgrade JIO PRIME you will get three months of complimentary service too. 

In the press note issued by the Reliance Group-owned by Mukesh Ambani has revealed that the most significant deadline of Reliance JIO Prime Membership offer has been extended by the company for the period of another 15 days that means now you can continue enjoying all the existing facilities till April 2017. The company also have few more surprises for the consumer, said the sources.

According to the sources, as speculated, Reliance Jio has extended the last date of its Prime membership plan. Now users can enroll for the company’s Prime membership up to April 15 instead of March 31. The company also launched a new ‘Summer Surprise’ offer for customers. Under the new plan, Jio will be giving users three months of complimentary service along. The regular paid tariffs will be applied in July, once the three-month offers end.                  

“We have heard your voice, and we are extending the deadline for purchasing Jio’s Rs 303 (and other) plans till 15th April. This extension will provide the necessary breathing room for users to avoid service disruption during the transition from free to paid services,” said Reliance Jio chairman Mukesh Ambani in a press statement.

According to the company officials, the subscriber base of JIO has crossed the mark of 100 million and almost 72% (72 Million) consumers have already signed for the JIO Prime Membership that too within the span of one month. It claimed that this is the largest migration from free to paid services in history in such a short time span.          

It may be recalled that the JIO Prime Membership was offered by the company only for the nominal amount of Rs 99 per year and once enrolled, the Prime members would continue to enjoy the benefits of the company’s ‘Happy New Year Plan’ at an introductory price of Rs 303 per month. Prime users will get to these ‘unlimited benefits’ until March 31, 2018. Other than free data, the services include JioTV, JioMusic, JioMags, Jio Cinema and JioXpressNews.            

The existing Reliance Jio users can enroll for membership via MyJio app or log into the company’s website. Users can also visit Jio offline stores to enroll for the plan. As announced during the launch of the Jio Services in September 2016, the domestic voice calls will continue to remain free. Roaming too will be free on Jio’s network. Reliance Jio chairman Ambani had also said that Reliance Jio will provide 20% additional data as compared to other competitors in the market.
