Another cold-blooded murder has come to the light in Goa. Lately, the cases of people getting disappeared and murdered have been on the rise in the state of Goa, and in many cases police has not been able to get the breakthrough. According to the Colva police, at prima facie, it appears to be a case of a sexual orientation, as the body of a deceased was found in partially naked condition, with several injuries on the body. According to the police report, the deceased Baptista Miguel D’Costa, a resident of Colva, was engaged in the business of rent-a-bike. The police have booked the case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
The sources have revealed that the deceased was brutally murdered with the help of sharp weapon, several multiple injuries were found on his face and neck, and he supposed to have died due to the excessive blood loss.

According to the wife of a deceased, he went missing since Saturday night following his last call to her, saying that he will come late. “The last call that the deceased had made from his mobile phone was to his wife, at around 7.30pm on Saturday,” police sources said.
Though the motive behind the murder hasn’t been established as yet, police are investigating the case from various angles, including that of sexual orientation. “The pants of the deceased were found lowered, which leaves the motive behind the murder open for interpretation,” said South Goa SP Arvind Gawas.

Police investigations revealed that the deceased had partied on Saturday night with one or more persons on the beach before he was done to death. “Two bottles of beer and one bottle of brandy were found at the place his body was recovered,” Gawas said. “This suggests the presence of one or more persons along with the deceased,” he added.
Police sources also said that there were the leftovers of some chicken dish and a bottle of water. Gawas said that police have identified a couple of suspects, and that they were being interrogated. Though the motive behind the murder hasn’t yet been established, police are investigating the case from various angles, including that of sexual orientation.
The lover’s beach is known for the trips of couples from various part of Goa, and most the time the area is surrounded by several two and four wheelers. The reason behind the presence of deceased at this place is not yet known but, the possibility of involvement of a female and more people cannot be ruled out, said the sources from surrounding locality.

The police are doing the investigation, and soon the culprits will be behind the bar but, will that make to stop such activities in the future.
