Finally, Mr. Parrikar dropped two of his ailing cabinet ministers paving the way for two new MLAs who took over the positions vacated by Francis D’souza and Pandurang Madkaikar. Although Mr. Parrikar did not give up his position as CM despite his poor medical condition. The removal of two of its so-called loyal MLAs from their respective positions has sent the surge of shock within the party. The Urban development minister Francis D’souza told the media that His removal from the cabinet is a Reward for his 20-year long loyalty.

It seems like Mr. Manohar Parrikar made two of the existing ministers unhappy by dropping them from the ministerial position without the intimation. The ailing Mapusa MLA and Urban Development Minister Mr. Francis D’souza told the media that CM did not give him the hint before his removal from the cabinet. According to the sources, it is the high standard of injustice that CM himself is bedridden and drops the ministers from cabinet for their ailing condition.

Meanwhile talking to the media Mr. D’saouza said that he had a telephonic conversation with CM in regards to his removal and the CM informed him that it was the decision of high command. “I had even spoken to the chief minister last evening but he did not give any hint… When I called him today after coming to know that I was being dropped, the chief minister said it was the party high command’s decision,” said Mr. D’Souza, who has been a legislator from north Goa’s Mapusa constituency for the last two decades. Meanwhile, Mr. Madkaikar who had suffered from a brain stroke and being treated at the private hospital in Mumbai was unable to comment on this scenario.

According to the reports, the dropping of ministers and the installations of new ones have made many people unhappy in the party and the Calangute MLA is one of them. Although he did not come out directly into the media one his associates have alleged that it is the injustice towards Mr. Lobo due to whom the present government came into the power.

The Congress did not leave this opportunity to target the Chief Minister calling the action of him is laughable as he himself being bedridden is dropping other ailing ministers. According to the Zee News postal, The main opposition party in Goa – Congress – has mocked the changes made by the ruling BJP in the state cabinet led by ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday and termed the entire exercise as ”laughable and hypocrisy’’.

”It’s hypocrisy. When the CM (Parrikar) is himself on the bed whose condition is worse than other two ministers and they’re dropped on health grounds and the CM is continuing,” Girish Chodankar, Goa Congress president, said slamming the move.

The Goa Congress chief had on Sunday alleged that the PM Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah lacked the courage to replace ailing Parrikar since they fear blackmail on Rafale issue since the latter was the Defence Minister in the Modi government before taking over the CM of Goa.

The congress who was waiting since the last election to take over the reigns of the state in their hands have now got the perfect opportunity and they have challenged the BJP to face the no-confidence motion to prove their majority in the 40 member state assembly. The coming days will make things more clear as who is going to remain in power and who will be ousted. What are your views on this subject?
