The surprises in Sheena Bora murder case perhaps has no end with every day passes by brings in the new revelation in this case. There is no immunity to anyone and everybody is under the police scanner till the case reaches to its destination and all the criminals involved into this case get punished. It will be all of the three accused who are under arrest or anybody from outside who is yet not exposed. According to the available information Mumbai police is keeping Rahul Mukerjea, son of Peter Mukerjea from his earlier marriage and Mikhail Bora, son of Indrani from her earlier relationship under their scanner.
According to the statement of Mikhail, he was apparently was aware of the fact that something unknown happened to Sheena and in spite of knowing this fact he just kept silence for three long years under the pretext of losing the financial help from her mother while the passport of Sheena was found in the custody of Rahul Mukerjea who is also silent for three long year after knowing that the story of her mother is not correct and Sheena is not gone to US as her passport is still with him.
The stories of Mikhail claim that he was targeted by her mother on several occasions in either giving the drug or by hiring the contract killer to eliminate him. The police investigation is also found that Indrani or her associates had paid Rs. 2.5 lakh to a contract killer “Our information is that the plan failed to take off. We have detained the contract killer. He has admitted that he was hired by Indrani to eliminate Mikhail,” claimed the highly placed sources in police. “The contract killer’s statement will be recorded as early as possible and he will be interrogated by the Khar police, in the presence of Indrani and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna,” said the sources.
Now the question is why Indrani wanted to kill Mikhail so desperately unless she was under threat by him, police is trying to find out the facts. Recently Mikhail has also claimed that she (Indrani) tried to kill him on three occasions and she also sent him to mental asylum in Pune once.
The Raigad police are also coming under the scrutiny as they tried to hide the facts by not registering the murder or accidental case when they found the body and straight away disposed it off. It also appears that a politician or a high-ranking officer exerted pressure. “As far as procedure is concerned, unless an accidental or murder case is registered, any part of the human body cannot be sent for a post-mortem. There appears to be a deliberate attempt to not register a murder case,” said the police sources.
According to the police sources Rahul Mukerjea and Sheena had a live in relationship and Rahul was very much aware about the missing of Sheena but then why he kept quiet for three longs years’ police wanted to know. When police tried to find out from Rahul he claimed that, He did not go to police since he had “Lost Faith” in the force after his complaint had been ignored, but if he had, the mystery of the disappearance of Sheena Bora may have been solved much earlier. Officials said he should have been much more insistent about following up the matter since he had Sheena’s passport in his possession. If he had produced it before the police in Mumbai, he could have conclusively established that there was no way she could have moved to the US and forced a probe.
In Fact Rahul has better story pertaining to this case as he claimed that he approached the Khar police station after Sheena went missing in 2012 and then to Worli police station who took cognizance of the matter and went to Indrani’s house to inquire about Sheena where Indrani told them that Sheena went to US for good and police had believed her. The next day, Rahul got several text messages from Sheena’s cell number, stating that she wanted to break off her relationship with him as she was shifting to the US. Rahul tried to approach her but in vain.
According to the highly placed police source, it appeared that case was solved after the arrests of the prime accused involved in this case which includes Indrani, Khanna and Shyam Rai “The case is getting murkier by the day with shocking revelations coming out on a daily basis. The Mumbai police have deployed a record number of officials to probe the case,” he said. He said though key players in the case have been arrested, law-enforcement agencies have not been able to establish the motive.
Now that police is almost reached to the climax of solving this jigsaw puzzle the entire truth will be revealed soon. The entire Why, Who and when will be sorted out and hopefully the culprits will get punished. Although one can’t deny the fact that the case will go for long ride as our courts has many cases and accused has the opportunity to approach the higher courts and hire expensive criminal lawyers to come out of this mess. But that only time will tell. One thing is sure that the culprits will get punished, if they managed to escape from the case in courts they surely will not manage to get escape from their KARMA which will punish them more harshly for killing perhaps one innocent girl.
