In one of the incident at Pernem, a native from Korgao lodged a complaint against a Nigerian for assaulting his relative. Police have arrested the Nigerian and investigation disclosed other links of the alleged accused. The investigation has revealed that the Nigerian had entered India without a valid visa. Here is the report.

As said by the Korgao police Satish Narse, a resident of Bhatwadi, Korgao, filed a complaint stating that Nigerian national Vgochukwu John Naedi aged 30, living at Arambol, assaulted his relative Sajjan Narse with a glass bottle on Thursday.

The further investigation by the cops later revealed that Naedi had entered India without a valid visa and continued to stay in the country without a visa.

Police have registered another offense under the Passport Entry into India Rules 1950, Passport Entry into India Act, Foreigners Order 1948 read with Section 14 of Foreigners Act 1946 against the accused.
