It was perhaps the most unfortunate moment for the FC Goa for two reasons, first they lost due to the last minute mistakes and second, the captain of Chennai team entered into the quarrel with owner of FC Goa team Dattaraj Salgaonkar who is also supposed to be the brother in Law of Mukesh Ambani, the owner of Chennayin team. With this one small incident, the entire spirit of the game was lost along with the Goan team.

The minor fights do takes place amongst the players while playing any sort of game, but the status is always maintained by the adjudicators of concerned games. But the incident of entering into fights with the owners of the teams is very rare and one such sad incident took place in Goa on the finals of ISL between FC-Goa and Chennayin FC on the last Saturday night at Fatorda stadium in Margao.

The game was almost going in the favor of FC-Goa and perhaps this made them feel over confident in last few minutes and that gave enough opportunity to the Chennayin team to score 3 over 2. This everything happened very swift and in last 5 minutes and shocked the entire FC Goa supporters. It was something nobody expected. But then the Chennayin came out as the winners at the end and here all the new game started.

According to the news published by most of the newspapers in the National as well International press, it has been alleged that the superstar player (Ex-Manchester) Elano had abused and assaulted the owner of FC Goa Dattaraj Salgaonkar, although said allegations had been rebutted by the lawyer of Elano, Rajiv Gomes saying that it is completely false allegations. In his Facebook post, Adv. Rajeev Gomes had claimed that the allegations leveled by the FC Goa owner Dattaraj Salgaonkar are false and baseless.

A proud moment indeed. Just released on bail Mr Eleno Blumer the captain of FC Chennaiyin who was arrested by the Margao Town Police on false charges made by FC Goa co-owner Mr. Dattaraj Salgaonkar.
