Mr. Suryavanshi, the CMD of firm ‘Dilip Buildcon’ that has won the Rs. 600 crore contract for the construction of new Zuari bridge has 70% stake holding in the company, claimed the sources.
The sources have alleged that this contract is given to the firm solely based on its political contacts. The sources have openly claimed that CMD of Dilip Buildcon, Mr. Dilip Suryavanshi is the close relative of the Madhya Pradesh, CM’s wife and holding the 70% stake I the firm.
The Congress spokesperson Avinash Tavares has thrown the criticism on the government which favors their friends and relatives to manage them to get the contracts. “The Zuari bridge contract process is a shocking and shameless display of the crony capitalism and rampant nepotism within this BJP government,” alleged Congress Spokesperson Avinash Tavares.
He also blamed the former CM Manohar Parrikar for allotting the consultancy contracts to MP based BJP party person keeping all the rules and regulations aside.
The new Zuari Bridge will be a state of an art kind of 8 lane cable-stayed bridge which will be almost similar to the upcoming Mandovi Bridge, claimed the sources.
