Recently in one reality show hosted by Mr. Anupam Kher Kapil has said this lines…. Jo log apna mazaak nahin udaa sakte, woh doosron ka kya udayenge? Sometimes people get angry too, but touch wood that has not happened with me. I’ve always got a lot of love from people. Kapil is extremely talented person as he says in his statement that he is not just a stand-up comedian, since childhood, he had a dreamt of becoming a singer. He is always joyful but but moody at times. Who always try to be happy, He says “I enjoy working.” When he started Comedy Nights with Kapil, he didn’t realise that it would be such a hit. For him it’s challenging.
Kapil who is from a police background has most of his family in the police department, including his father and his brother. Born on 18th April 1971 at Amritsar, Punjab he is 5’8″ and his nick name is ‘TONY’ at home. The funny man is also quite emotional about his family and credits his mother to be his pillar of strength from which he has acquired his fun side. “My mother is a beautiful soul who has not only encouraged me in life but been my strength of pillar. However worse be the situation financially, my mother has always made sure her children get everything. I believe my sense of humour is a gift from my mum. She’s funny in her own way and I credit all my success to her.” He loves his mother amongst all. She likes everything about him, especially his highly responsible nature.
Coming from a humble background, he spoke about his days; it was when he had financial issues for his sister’s wedding that he won his first comedy show. He had earned rupees 10 lacs from the show; he spent the entire amount on his sister’s wedding. “There’s never been a more lavish wedding than my sisters’ in my entire family,” says Kapil. He has spent less time with his father earlier, but he spent time with him in his last days, when we had taken him to AIIMS for his treatment.
