This will be the second time Babush is going to face both the tests. His potency test was earlier done at GMC came out to be positive. Now the question is why Babush is sent for the similar tests that he has gone through once? Based on the available information from the various sources, although Babush has already gone through the potency test on Friday but due to some lapses he will have to go through the test once again that will be done on Sunday at GMC.

Why does he need to through the Potency test? The reason behind this is, as per Section 53 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973: “3A. Examination of a person accused of rape by a medical practitioner, (1) When a person is arrested on a charge of committing an offense of rape or an attempt to commit rape and there are reasonable grounds for believing that an examination of his person will afford evidence as to the commission of such offense.

According to sources, Babush had already faced the psycho test on Saturday at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour (IPHB), Bambolim, after some minor cut marks were found on his body. The cut marks on his chest were observed by the medical officer during his medical examination on Friday that amounted to raise the suspicion, said the sources in the police department.

According to the sources, following the disclosure of the wound marks on his chest the forensic department referred the case for psycho-analysis of the behavior of Babush. In the test at IPHB, Bambolim it was revealed that These are probably the marks of self-hurting exercise the St Cruz MLA might have been involved in, with a sharp implement like a blade. Although, neither the doctor nor police has managed to reach to any conclusion regarding the scar marks noticed on his chest.

The sources have also revealed that the investigation agency is in the process of understanding the mental and sexual behaviors of the accused through the means of these tests before arriving at any conclusion. Babush has been accused of buying and raping a minor in her unconscious state after he spiked her drink with sedatives.

The sources have confirmed that both the tests will be repeated on Monday and this time the wife of accused Jennifer Monserrate will also be present. On Monday Babush will also be presented before the children’s court for further remand. We will keep you updated with the developments as it takes place in this case.
