According to the sources, Mr. Parrikar has been moved back to Mumbai for the further treatment following his discharge from Goa Medical College. The Goa CMO office has issued a video clip of Mr. Parrikar wherein he is seen addressing the people of Goa about the state of his health and the reason behind going back to Mumbai. He also sought the blessings of Goans saying that he is just going for a short break and will be back soon hail and hearty.         

It may be recalled that after a brief hospitalization at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai due to the swelling in Pancreas, Mr. Parrikar had returned to Goa to remain present at the budget session of Goa. There were a lot of speculations in the media and a political circle pertaining to the health of Goa’s CM, But Mr. Parrikar proved all of them wrong by giving the surprise visit to Goa Assembly Bhavan on Thursday.       

The Goa CM had been in the Lilavati hospital since February 15 for a pancreas-related ailment. The CM landed at Goa’s Dabolim International Airport at around 11.40 am. The CM reached the state assembly at around 2 pm and presented the budget and later on met with the senior officials to discuss the business.

It may be recalled that Mr. Parrikar was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital after he complained of food poisoning. There had been reports that he may have to be flown to the USA for treatment. Owing to the rumors, the hospital had to issue a statement saying the CM was doing well. The Chief Minister’s Office has throughout maintained that he was suffering from a pancreas-related ailment.
