Situated in North Goa, Mandrem is a tranquil beach and counted among the most beautiful beaches in Asia. Serene and scenic, Mandrem is preferred by honeymooners. The secluded beach provides the much needed privacy for the honeymooners. A sleepy small village, there is nothing much to do in Mandrem. Laze around on the beach or take a swim in the clear waters or visit the eateries to enjoy local food, Mandrem is ideal for do-nothing vacation. Mandrem is, for many, the best-kept secret on the north Goan coast, as laid back and languid a destination as you could possibly hope for. Yoga, meditation and ayurveda are the orders of the day, and you’ll find ever-changing options for spiritually slanted exercise and enlightenment along its sands. Head here for a day or two of beach-bound bliss, and you might find it hard to tear yourself away. This quiet hideaway in North Goa has the advantage of not being a popular destination on the tourist trail, which is why it’s a top pick for honeymooners and for couples looking for a quiet getaway. There are a few beach shacks and the odd guesthouse in season, but you really have to make your own entertainment on this deserted stretch. Mandrem beach is situated after the Ashwem beach and before the Arambol Beach. It is a continuation of the Ashwem beach and very similar to it. It has a number of beach huts, small guest houses and some resorts. Many locals also let out their homes on rent. This beach being quite copared to the other beaches, is frequented by foreign tourists who want to relax and live in harmony with nature. This beach is quite empty and isolated, and have limited facilities for visitors.

Mandrem beach has not too much developed tourist infrastructure. For this reason this place is more popular among budget tourists and people who prefer to have camp wild than to spend their vacations in some crowded places within luxury accommodation.

Being a quiet beach, one can even see the white-bellied fish eagles that live here in the casuarina trees. Sometimes you can even see the famous Olive Ridley marine turtles that are nesting at Mandrem beach from time to time.

The best time to visit the Mandrem beach resort is in the winter, which lasts from October till March. During this period of the year the humid tropical climate of North Goa gives way to the sun and warmth, so that tourists can enjoy the amazing warm and clear weather.

Shops and services in the village are modest, but still here you can find anything your heart desires: food, fruits, vegetables, drinks, money exchange, pharmacy, several restaurants and bars. The most popular restaurants in Mandrem are: “Olive House Restaurant”, Cafe Nu, “TheWell Garden”, “Mango Tree Beer Garden”, and “The End of the World”.

Mandrem Beach famous for its white sand and lines of palm trees that line the beach attracts a large number of tourists, strangely for being the least populated beach. People, locals and tourists come from far and wide just to enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of this beach.
