According to the sources, the villagers asked the local MLA Subhash Faldesai to not to distribute the bulbs in the temple. Since the temple premises is not meant to be used for the political purpose. The villagers of Caurem requested him to use any other premises than the Mallikarjun temple.
When the villagers asked Faldesai to vacate the temple premises he became violent and allegedly instigated his supporters which resulted in the physical assault of Mr. Ravindra Velip said the sources.
When this incident took place beside MLA Subhash Faldessai, his wife Alka Faldessai, his brother Ravindra Fal Desai and his cousins namely Anil Faldessai, Ashok Faldessai, Sanjay Faldessai, Tulshidas Faldessai along with Suresh Kepekar, Shri. Madhappa AE Electricity Department and others were present at the temple premises, claimed the sources.
Ravindra Velip immediately lodged a complaint at the Quepem police station after which he was taken to the Sanvordem P.H.C for medical examination where minor injuries were found on his body. There were no prior permissions taken from the Devasthan committee to distribute the said LED in the temple premises. The MLA was using the carry bags printed in his name to make publicity while distributing the LED bulbs.
According to the sources, the complaints against all the accused lodged at Quepem police station under the SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989 but the Qupem police registered simple NC (noncognizable offense). The sources have claimed that this is done due to the political influence.
With the above case, one thing has become clear that this LED Bulb MAHABHARAT will be going to very far with more people getting involved in this game. Let’s wait and watch what comes out from this. What is your opinion on the LED Bulbs distribution? Please leave your comments here.
