[su_expand more_text=”READ MORE” less_text=” ” height=”0″ hide_less=”yes” link_style=”button” link_align=”center”] Aam Admi Party national Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal who was in Goa for the short visit and to address to the people of Goa as a part of AAP’s future plans of contesting the elections in 2017 polls, called BJP and Congress as husband-wife who according to him are partners in the crime. While telling this he urged to the people of Goa to give up the old political loyalties and vote for the AAP.
This is perhaps the first time someone has termed both rival parties this way which Sounds little amusing. In his speech, Mr. Kejriwal said that the relationship between the Congress and BJP were like that of husband and wife, who was aware of each other’s best-kept secrets. “I feel both the parties have a husband-wife kind of relationship wherein they fight like husband and wife, fighting inside the house. They know each other’s secrets,” said Kejriwal while addressing hundreds of AAP volunteers in Panjim.
Kejriwal told the media that BJP knows the secrets of Congress and Congress knows of BJP and that they are like having an unwritten understanding with each other to rule for five years each in turns. “Someone told me that (Defence Minister) Manohar Parrikar has several files of Congress leaders in Goa, but he won’t take action against them. He will keep on threatening Congress with these files,” he said.
According to Kejriwal, both the parties are sharing very good relationship while trying to fool the people of Goa. “BJP and Congress have together looted people. Both parties combined are mafias; they run mafia raj,” He added.
He requested the Goan people to give up their loyalties to the old political parties and vote for noncorrupt “AAP” to bring the change in Goa for the sake of the state. He also assured the people of Goa that coming to AAP will not be their loss and he will make sure that he gives them whatever the ruling party is presently giving them. “I was told that people are reluctant to come out in support of AAP, fearing that they will lose the benefits of government-sponsored social welfare schemes if they are spotted in an AAP group,” he said, adding, “Don’t worry, if they cancel the pension. We will give the pension from retrospective effect. Whatever benefits that were given by the current government will be resumed, and dues will also be paid.”
He gave the example of Panjab saying that in Punjab situation was worst than Goa. He said that Punjab government has a habit of filing the false complaint against the people who supports AAP and police in Panjab is capable of planting the drugs in your house to harass you. “Drugs are a major concern in Punjab. Police can plant drugs in your house and book you. We have told people not to get afraid. In the next six months, AAP will form the government and withdraw all the fake cases,” he said.
He also told about his own case in which the Minister of Punjab government had filed false cases against him. Kejriwal also appealed to AAP members to quit the party if they had come only with the intention of getting a ticket. “If someone has joined the party with the intention of getting a ticket, they may quit the party as their condition will be worse here,” Kejriwal said, adding, “Don’t join the party (AAP) for position or ticket. If you are here for a ticket, then don’t come.”
According to Kejriwal, their party ticket is not the ticket to the power but its ticket to the responsibilities. “Everyone has to take different responsibilities in the party. The ticket is yet another responsibility,” he said.
