AAP supremo Shri Arvind Kejriwal finally managed to create his impression in Goa. The public rally organized by AAP on Sunday at Campal ground in Panaji hit the roof with 10 thousand people from across the Goa attending the meeting addressed by Kejriwal. What prompted the people of Goa to attend the rally in such a huge numbers and what Kejriwal told the people of Goa? Read the complete report here.
This was the first rally organized by AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) in Goa. Nobody expected such a tremendous response from this event that leads to sending shivers in the rival groups. This is the wave of change that people of Goa are looking for. Kejriwal told the Goans to stop getting bullied by the corrupt people in the system and throw them out.
Kejriwal started the speech by calling himself a common man (AAM AADMI), he said “I also one of the common man just like you. I am one amongst you, who faces the harassment from the government every day and who comes across the corruption in every nook and corner but cannot do anything about it. I had witnessed this corruption in Delhi and decided to finish it. Today Delhi is breathing in the fresh air of noncorrupt government. If you too wish to see that change in Goa, then you need to throw the existing corrupt people out from their chair.”
AAP is going to contest the forthcoming elections in Goa and the chances are that they may display the similar trend they did in Delhi. He said that AAP had no money while contesting the elections in Delhi but they managed to do it since every volunteer of AAP whether he is doctor, engineer or shopkeeper had worked hard for it. “The people left their work to campaign in Delhi by going door to door. The other parties mocked saying that we will not get the single seat while we swept the entire poll in the national capital,” he said.
He did not spare the PM Modi stating that BJP has ruined the educational institutions like Hyderabad University, Delhi’s prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Pune’s Film Institutions. He also alleged a hint that, it was the BJP who engineered the issue of anti-national slogans at the JNU. “Five boys raised dirty slogans against India and ran away. The Modi government didn’t catch them but his government used them to crack down on JNU,” he said. “Modiji has the army, the CBI, the RAW but they can’t catch the 5 boys. Why? People suspect it was BJP who sent those 5 boys.”
Goa is the most fertile land for the AAP since congress is almost out of the race due to the lack of leadership and their internal fights while BJP is aiming high on the corruption front according to AAP which will pave their way to the winning of 2017 polls in the state. Goa is much smaller compared to Delhi.
The public rally gave a very good response to AAP now let us wait and watch what response they get in the forthcoming elections. AAP will be having the volunteer meet on Monday in the state. Rupesh Shinkre, AAP’s media coordinator for Goa has told PTI on Tuesday, “We are planning a volunteers’ meet on Monday a day after Kejriwal’s public rally. The meet is still being finalized.” The meet will decide the future course of action and selection process of the candidates.
