Kamaxi forex owner, Nilesh Raikar who recently surrendered himself before the Economic Offence Cell, has revealed shocking details of the properties accumulated by him across the state of Goa. Nilesh is facing the charges of cheating more than 400 investors.

Nilesh had surrendered in front of EOC (Economic Offences Cell) on Friday after being on the run for more than a week. Police had issued the lookout notice for him as well as his wife and a mother who are apparently partners in his business. Although Nilesh has surrendered himself before police but his other accomplices, Wife Neelima, and mother Rekha are still untraceable.

According to the sources, during the police interrogation, Nilesh has revealed the details of the properties owned by him across the state of Goa. Nilesh owns around four apartments and six shops in Margao alone while one apartment in the capital city, two shops in Calangute and Mapusa and two plots of around 600 SQ mt and one plot of 400 SQ mt in Betalbatim, south Goa. He also holds 52 accounts which allegedly have a total balance of one lakh rupees.

Sources said that Raikar has confessed of mortgaging many properties with banks is being verified. “We will write to the banks concerned to ascertain whether Raikar is speaking the truth. Meanwhile, sub-registrars of the respective places have been requested not to execute or register the sale deeds in respect of the properties as these are under investigation,” an official said.

According to the sources in EOC, they have received around 420 complaints against the accused with the numbers are growing by the day.
